VPLS is looking for a high-energy, results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on engaging with potential customers, building relationships, and generating new business opportunities.
As an SDR, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for identifying and qualifying leads, setting up meetings, and driving pipeline growth. Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Lead Generation:
· Identify and research potential clients through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and other strategic channels.
· Develop and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified leads.
Lead Qualification & Appointment Setting:
· Engage with prospects to assess their IT and cloud computing needs.
· Qualify leads based on VPLS’s ideal customer profile and schedule high-value meetings.
CRM & Sales Operations:
· Utilize VPLS’s proprietary CRM tools to track, manage, and report on all prospecting activities.
· Maintain accurate records of all sales interactions and update the CRM with lead status and notes.
Collaboration & Strategy:
· Work closely with the Director, Account Managers, Marketing, and other teams to align outreach efforts with VPLS’s sales, marketing and communication strategies.
· Provide valuable market feedback to refine messaging and outreach tactics.
Qualifications:
· Experience: Previous SDR experience preferred. 1-2 years in a sales development, business development, or inside sales role, preferably in IT, cloud computing, or managed services.
· Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with MSP, cloud computing, colocation, networking, or cybersecurity solutions is a strong advantage.
· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to engage and persuade potential clients.
· Resilience & Drive: A competitive mindset with the ability to handle objections and persistently follow up on leads.
· Tech-Savviness: Ability to quickly learn and understand VPLS’s CRM tools and Technology solutions.
· Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and meet lead generation and appointment-setting goals.
· Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
