Description Position Overview: Responsible for back counter service and customer service and order processing, including order entry, price quotes, inquiries, invoices, and sales. Work involves attention to detail, ability to work effectively with customers and work with limited supervision and will be the “go to” person when a Manager or Supervisor is not present.

- Provides back counter service to technicians, foreman and service writers.
- Responsible for all facets of parts order processing.
- Performs order entry.
- Quotes prices.
- Ability to review pricing and determine mark-ups.
- Provides follow up on orders and customer inquiries.
- Invoices customers.
- Ability to perform inventory functions for both cycle counts and annual as needed.
- Maintains files.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills - Experience in Allison Transmission and bumper to bumper parts identification and sales skills including search for parts in manuals and online using engine / transmission serial number or VIN. Proficient on 10 key.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in back counter parts environment.
- Excellent computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Ability to effectively multitask with multiple customers.
Education & Experience - High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the parts department.
- Minimum of (5) five years’ experience in customer service and order processing.
- Parts sales experience

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Work is performed in an office and stockroom near a garage area and exposes the employee to various fumes and gases from vehicle exhausts, solvents, grease, oils, paint and other chemical hazards and extreme weather conditions while working outside.
