Job Description



Vertex is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector with specialized experience in swing stage inspections to join our team. This role involves ensuring compliance with local construction codes, safety regulations, and industry standards while performing inspections on high-rise and facade restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections on building facades, scaffolding, and suspended access equipment.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and approved project plans.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, violations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and building owners to resolve compliance issues.
  • Perform site safety assessments and enforce proper worksite protocols.
  • Stay up to date with building codes, facade inspection regulations, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Travel to project sites is required in region (NY, NJ, PA), with occasional national travel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on swing stage operations.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and facade restoration practices.
  • 16 hour suspended scaffold certification.
  • 4 hour supported scaffold certification.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Ability to navigate high-rise structures and perform hands-on field inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • Experience working with contractors, building owners, and regulatory agencies.

Additional Information



The annualized salary range for this role is $65,000 - $100,000 per year.
